Spring Youth Educational Retreat

The Weekend Youth Retreat is to provide a variety of educational workshops, programs, and events, offering intergenerational training and a celebration of culture and heritage to bring the community together to empower our youth. The weekend highlights include a panel and a speech competition.

Community Education Sessions bring the opportunity to train, educate and share our diverse cultural backgrounds within the community, to support the growth and development of our black youth.

The Stellar Stars Speech Competition

The JrBAA recognizes the importance of clear and effective communication in society.  With the Stellar Stars Speech Competition and its supplementary workshops and educations, we reaffirm our commitment to building these skills in a safe and welcoming environment.

Thanks to the continued support of donors, we are able to pursue this goal and award the winner of the annual competition with an academic scholarship.  These accolades will help break down barriers and assist in accessing post-secondary education.
